Meet the Band...
Nicky Scott: Vocals, guitar, mouth trumpet, keyboard
Nicky started playing in various bands whilst still at school, the school jazz
band, a jug band and a rock and roll group. Has performed in a range of
groups ever since from Palm Court to punk rock as well as solo in wine
bars. His previous band 'Tickled Pink' played for many years on the
cabaret/festival circuit.
Doug Kyle: Double Bass
Doug has also played in jug bands even to the
extent of forcing his entire family to perform with him! He is well
known as a master guitar maker and is also proficient on guitar.
James Goodwin: Lead Guitar
James has played with bands since he first
heard the Beatles at school He toured professionally in the seventies,
and recorded a fine album which his mother still owns.
These three musicians comprise 'Scotfree'
Scotwhat it takes adds a frontline and drums.
Pete Lowe: saxophones, clarinet, flute
Pete has for many years played
with the Honest John band and has been playing with Nicky in both
'Tickled Pink' and other line ups for many years.
Tony Plato: Drums
Tony also played with 'Tickled Pink' for many years and
continues to be in demand with many bands as a fine drummer and
appalling joke teller. In 2007 check out his work on the forthcoming
albums 'Virtual Vinyl' with his band The Waxroom, and with John Mathias
on the Ninja Tunes record label.
Kevin Williams: trumpet, flugelhorn
Kevin joined the line up recently
and is a huge asset to the band.

Scot what it takes is
currently featuring a young vocalist called Dominie Hooper - who I think
is better than Joss Stone!
